Natural Thai crystal deodorant new perfume blend available in Boots stores across the country
Somerset-based PitROK has launched its new beautifully perfumed woman’s deodorant in Boots stores across the country. The perfume is a delicate blend of
spicy citrus with bergamot, jasmine, rose, peony, muguet and cedarwood.
PitROK Crystal deodorant is perfect for anyone with a deodorant allergy or who simply wants to limit the amount of chemicals they subject their body to. PitROK Crystal deodorants are based on pure natural mineral salts, and the range includes a stylishly packaged natural deodorant stick, spray or roll-on.
Easy to apply, the deodorant provides day-long protection by suppressing odour causing bacteria. With fragrance options for men and women, the sprays and roll-on are formulated with aloe vera and grapefruit seed extract leaving skin feeling fresh and revitalised.
Suitable for sensitive skin, PitROK Crystal is dermatologically tested, not animal tested, does not block pores and is alcohol free. PitROK does not contain aluminium chlorohydrate, aluminium zirconium, parabens, SLS or SLES, propylene glycol or silicone.
PitROK is available from Boots in crystal roll-on starting at £4.
Survey reveals 58% of men have been caught short and worn women’s deodorant
Our survey has revealed that 58% of men have
been caught short and worn a woman’s deodorant during Christmas party season.
“We think this may be men who have had an unexpected night out and been caught short without deodorant,” says crystal deodorant PitROK CEO Clive Birnie delicately. “It’s a bit of a giveaway in party season that you’ve been out all night when you turn up to work wearing the clothes you went out in, so people remember to bring a change of shirt. Men need to remember to bring their deodorant, otherwise you get the choice of smelling like a floral spray or…just smelling.”
Not that that seems to bother many of the men that responded to PitROK’s survey. 48% of our respondents said they would not wear deodorant if they lived on a desert island, and 33% of those men surveyed said they only wore deodorant for the sake of people around them.

The Sunday Girl has included our wipes in her festival round-up. Eminently sensible, we think…and naturally the wipes can be used to wipe mud off you and prevent trench foot if you’re on the Isle of Wight…..here’s the link. http://www.thesundaygirl.com/2012/06/festival-survival-kit.html
Thank you, Sunday Girl!
Nice mention from the lovely Tala on her blog…glad we are now a handbag staple, Tala!

Lovely review from Tom Strong about PitROK – glad you like the ‘snazzy’ packaging Tom!
Gyms are contradictory places – focused on the body beautiful, and yet, for the unwary, hotbeds of germs, sweat and general yuck. GPs report many skin conditions being traced back to the gym, so here is PitROK’s guide to making sure that muscles, aches and pains are the only things you bring back from your training session.
1. Use an anti-bacterial spray for your hands before and after you handle the gym equipment. OK anti-bac spray may not look massively manly but that guy who just sneezed into his hands and then picked up that weight? You’re next.
2. Dry yourself properly. There is a tendency, particularly amongst men, to think that your clothes are an extension of your towel and will somehow dry off the excess water. They won’t. Damp skin is uncomfortable and can trap dirt and bacteria in its creases.
3. Change your socks after the gym. Bunging the same pair on again after they’ve been pounding away on the treadmill for half an hour is unwise, unhealthy and unhygienic.
4. If you can, wear breathable fibres. Gone are the days when ‘gym kit’ meant a sponsored walk shirt you were given in 1992. Brands like Asics do fabulous breathable and comfortable sportswear.
5. Bring a towel for the equipment. Don’t worry about looking like Niles Crane, no-one wants to be sitting in someone else’s pool of sweat.
6. Dry in between your toes, just like your mother told you to. Athlete’s foot and all manner of toe itchiness can propagate beautifully in between damp toes rammed into nice warm socks.
7. Ford Prefect wasn’t the only person to be obsessed with towels. We are too. Ok…imagine this. Ringworm and fungal infections hang around in gyms, You put your towel on the grubby wet floor, stand on the towel, dry your feet with it, then sit on it on the bench in your pants (or not) while you put your socks on, then bung it back into your sports bag to be repeated again tomorrow. Would it help if we told you that you can pass fungal infections from your feet to other…um…damp and warm parts of your body, like the crotch area? Wash your towel. Every time you use it.
8. If you’ve ever looked in a woman’s make up bag you will know how alarming things can get in there. Now have a look inside your gym bag. We’re not suggesting you might find an out of date mascara in there, but it’s not a bad idea to give the bag itself an interior spring clean every now and again.
9. Trainers, no matter how expensive, trendy and so technologically advanced they actually run on the treadmill for you while you sit in the café, still stink after a while. Trainer inserts are always a good idea but remember to change them, many brands can be put through the washing machine (trust us, they come out fine) and deo sprays also make you a little nicer to be near.
10. And, of course, deodorant. Obviously. Now we like sweat at PitROK. We believe the body should be allowed to sweat because that’s how it expels what it needs to. If you’re getting itchy armpits, a rash or a tight feeling under the arms when you train you could be wearing a deodorant you’re intolerant to. Give PitROK Crystal a go instead.
